TASB/TASA

TAEA annually exhibits K-12th grade student work at the TASB/TASA convention. It will be in Dallas this year. It is a great opportunity to capture your district school-board members' and superintendent's attention.  Since it is in August, you'll have to save pieces from this school year to meet the August deadline. All entries need to be submitted through your district supervisor since there is a limit.  Also, if you are interested in having your students demonstrate contact Samantha Melvin. samantha.melvin@ taea.org

CEDFA update

This year's Texas Fine Arts Summit will be in Austin on June 13 and 14. The Summit will address the New TEKS and Professional Development. Presentations will be by the committee members who served to write the TEKS. Everyone who has attended this annual event before has walked away gratified by the quality of information and the leadership. If you can, plan early to receive a discount.
